The Apocalypse--A Revelation ... Chapter Eighteen (first draft)

As class ends
students exit swiftly

but the Professor spins Sabrina around
with: "Sabrina, may I speak with a moment?"

She wondered, what now?

He strolled over to the edge of the stage
one hand engaged in combing through his hair
as his lids slightly squinted didn't hide his bold stare.

"Are you alright?" he bends to glean. "I saw you rush out."
He explains his mean to question Sabrina,
after what he had seen.

Sabrina eases her mind.

Thought: Oh, that's nice. He's just being kind.

"Oh, yes. I'm fine. Thank you for your concern.

Sometimes with all that is happening worldwide
I feel a little burned out."

"Yes, this I can imagine. From you I discern
for humanity to plead; for justice to shout.

I also notice Wayne's missing... Have you any idea?"

"No. But if I see him I will inform him
of what you today taught

to our whole class
were dedicatedly teaching."

"Thank you, Sabrina... Just one more thing.

I must compliment you on your attire
everyday. You are a fashionable young woman.

Beautiful too.

Can understand why Wayne when present
can never keep his eyes off lovely you."

With those words Sabrina thanks him
with a slight smile
while distancing herself quickly

feigning a check on her phone
as if someone her dialed

when two headlines catch her eye
as she flies:

Raining Ash and No Rest: Firefighters Struggle to Contain California Wildfires

http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/raining-ash-and-no-rest-firefighters-struggle-to-contain-california-wildfires/ar-AAtjG9e?li=BBmkt5R&ocid=spartanntp

thinking again of Wayne's family
during this existing tragedy ferociously dire.

Then she skimmed: Harvey Weinstein: 'I am in counseling'
as Sabrina's remembers Professor's eyes

from thoughtful peer to lustful leer

knowing this to be the 'Last Day's' sad situation:

From people in power
sexually to fear. 2 Tim. 3:1-5.

Raising her head to clear campus steps
Sabrina sees Wayne at the bottom
causing her heart a misstep

almost inducing a terrible slip.

"Hi, Sabrina" he says
angled his gloriously curled head against the sun.

"Hi, Wayne" Sabrina replies after reaching his side
now in a slow stride away, not a run...

"Hey, Wayne. The professor asked about you.

Do you think we should hurry
before he opens the door and walks through?"

Wayne glances down without his usual grin

"No, it doesn't matter
with the mood that I'm in."

So Sabrina takes up a motherly chatter
with cheer in her voice:

"Maintain your conduct fine among the nations,"
Wayne,

"so that when they accuse you of being wrongdoers,
they may be eyewitnesses of your fine works

and, as a result,
glorify God in the day of his inspection." 1 Pet. 2:12... Remember?"

Wayne's grin appears.

"Thanks, mom."
Sabrina's heartbeat increases to a fast patter.

To distract herself from the smell of his masculine lather
as well as his pensive handsome profile

less serious him
she'd rather

Sabrina continues her sisterly counsel:
"showing yourself to be an example of fine works in every way."

He picks up: "Teach what is pure
with all seriousness,

using wholesome speech that cannot be criticized,
so that those who oppose may be put to shame,

having nothing negative to say about us."...Titus 2:7, 8.

One of your fathers favorites."

"Exactly that!" Sabrina pats his back, then races away
towards their oak

not visited since that heartrending day.

Wayne lets her distance herself awhile.

Then sprints after
whizzing by in a second
as if not covered a quarter of a mile.

"Hey!... Don't sit down yet!... Here's my jacket.
Your lovely outfit will spoil. And believe you me,

this you'll utterly regret.

From swede it's difficult to remove grass soil."

Sabrina, waits watching a slight bead of sweat
travel his temple. His chest rising rapidly.
It also delicately wet.

His aroma by a sweet breeze by her nostrils
enticingly swept
met.

Sabrina casts her eyes to a cloudless blue sky
quickly to hide an unnerving hunger growling inside

decidedly not
on which she wished to reflect.

"Hey, Wayne. Maybe we should not here stay.
You know...

I've got to go to the library today."

"Aw, Sabrina. Can't we just sit awhile.
I've missed your company.

And let me gaze at you to further appreciate
your awesome sense of style"

he ends patting a spot
for Sabrina to meekly capitulate.

Which she did
although again beginning to relate: "For the Lord’s sake subject yourselves to every human creation,

whether to a king
as being superior

or to governors as sent by him to punish wrongdoers
but to praise those who do good.

For it is the will of God that by doing good
you may silence the ignorant talk of unreasonable men." 1 Pet. 2:13, 14.""

This topic she feels is perfectly safe.

Avoiding subjects
that could her desire
dangerously escalate.

"Wayne, the Professor wants to know where you've been.

Don't give him any reason to fail you.

The 'truth' you must in all actions
decidedly defend."

"Sabrina, I'm not trying to pretend.
Who am I kidding?"... He sits up out of his sexy lean.

"Everyone, anyway, is always trying
us to demean... Don't you feel it?

Because of the darkened color of our skin."

"Yes," Sabrina confesses
as she on his jacket reclines

sorting through her reoccurring agonies
about her calling divine:

"and you made them to be a kingdom
and priests to our God,
and they are to rule as kings
over the earth.”" Rev. 5:20.

Remembering:

"And I saw thrones, and those who sat on them were given authority to judge.

Yes, I saw the souls of those executed for the witness they gave about Jesus and for speaking about God,

and those who had not worshipped the wild beast or its image and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand.

And they came to life and ruled as kings with the Christ for 1, 000 years."

Their promised positions marvelously defined.

Wayne, Remember Rev. 20:4, 6 says:

"Happy and holy is anyone having part in the first resurrection;
over these the second death has no authority,

but they will be priests of God and of the Christ, and they will rule as kings with him for the 1, 000 years.""

Hoping that reminding him of the reward
would like cold ice on a fresh wound

does sooth a troubled soul.

She doesn't cease to cast the line.

"A lovely find I read this morning:

"The wild beast of the field will honor me,
The jackals and the ostriches,
For I provide water in the wilderness,
Rivers in the desert,

For my people, my chosen one, to drink,

The people whom I formed for myself
So that they might declare my praise." Isaiah 43:20, 21.

“The virtues,” that is, his praiseworthy qualities and deeds
don't you want to proclaim always?"

Wayne, just nods his accent, while still deep in thought.

Sabrina prays that they were fine
musings of which he ought to focus his time.

At the risk of raising his anger
instead of him inspired to resist danger

Sabrina quotes:

"For you were once darkness, but you are now light
in connection with the Lord.

Go on walking as children of light," Ephesians 5:8.

Since, "He rescued us from the authority of the darkness
and transferred us into the kingdom of his beloved Son," Christ
as you'll recall in Col. 1:13.

"And if you are calling on the Father who judges impartially
according to each one’s work,"

his advice is to: "conduct yourselves with fear
during the time of your temporary residence."
Found at 1 Pet. 1:17... I quote."

Wayne picks up Sabrina's hand with ease
moving each finger to sensually tease.

Begins to lift them to his full lips
himself to please
when Sabrina snatches it back

as if to cover her mouth
in a failed sneeze.

"I'm sorry, Wayne... Must be getting a cold.

She picks up her backpack.

Maybe I should go inside."
His look and manner growing increasingly bold.

Her willpower itself difficult to control.

"Sabrina, why not relax. Bring your face near
for me to kiss.

Don't you know how much I love you?... Why do you continue
to resist?"

"Wayne, I'm not through with our previous conversation.

Especially with people everywhere taking a knee.

Soon someone will us want to enlist
in this stand that daily persists.

Just you wait and see.

When that time arrives maybe we can quote:

"For those rulers are an object of fear,
not to the good deed, but to the bad.

Do you want to be free of fear of the authority?

Keep doing good,
and you will have praise from it;
for it is God’s minister to you for your good.

But if you are doing what is bad,
be in fear,

for it is not without purpose that it bears the sword.

It is God’s minister, an avenger to express wrath
against the one practicing what is bad."
Romans 13: 3, 4 is where it is found,
if someone wants to hear.

Even if for any king
we did not personally vote

already devoted to a righteous ruler
riding forth the wicked to smite

forever them smote.

Still-in-all, we do not gloat
about world events.

"Let those who are under the yoke of slavery keep on considering their owners worthy of full honor,

so that the name of God and the teaching may never be spoken of injuriously." 1 Tim. 6:1.

We're told to
and I read:

"Let servants be in subjection to their masters with all due fear,
not only to the good and reasonable but also to those hard to please.

For it is agreeable when someone endures hardship
and suffers unjustly because of conscience toward God.

For what merit is there if you are beaten for sinning and you endure it?

But if you endure suffering because of doing good, this is an agreeable thing to God.

In fact, to this course you were called, because even Christ suffered for you,

leaving a model for you to follow his steps closely.

He committed no sin,
nor was deception found in his mouth.

When he was being insulted,
he did not insult in return.

When he was suffering, he did not threaten, but he entrusted himself to the One who judges righteously.

He himself bore our sins in his own body on the stake,
so that we might die to sins and live to righteousness.

And “by his wounds you were healed.”

For you were like sheep going astray,

but now you have returned to the shepherd
and overseer of your souls." 1 Pet. 2:18-25.

Aren't those words worthy of meditation indeed?"

Wayne looks at Sabrina with greed
letting not scriptures intercede.

He grabs her wrist
into a lying position tries Sabrina to twist

as Sabrina struggles
although verses from her throat tightening
do not desist:

"The path of righteousness leads to life;
Along its pathway there is no death." Proverbs 12:28

"Be as free people, using your freedom, not as a cover
for doing wrong,

(an opportunity to pursue fleshly desires... Gal. 5:13.)

but as slaves of God." 1 Pet. 2:16.

Her own emotions twisted frighteningly.

"Wayne, stop!... Let's talk.

Remember you stated earlier:
"Everyone, anyway, is always trying
us to demean... Don't you feel it?

Because of the darkened color of our skin."

Well, let's think about it.

Who doesn't want us eternity to win?

We're studying Hosea and he prophesied:
“Those not my people
I will call ‘my people,’

and her who was not loved, ‘beloved’;

and in the place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’ there they will be called ‘sons of the living God.’”" Romans 9:25, 26.

So, here we are cherished... Jah us does not deride, Wayne.

And, don't you recall Gal. 5:24:

"Moreover, those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed to the stake the flesh together with its passions and desires"?

"For the flesh is against the spirit in its desire, and the spirit against the flesh; these are opposed to each other, so that you do not do the very things you want to do." Gal. 5:17.

"But I say, Keep walking by spirit
and you will carry out no fleshly desire at all." Ga. 5:16.

Do not those verses remind us immorality to abhor?"

Wayne leaps to his feet.
Grabs hold of his jacket beneath Sabrina
her to sweep aside.

He derides her for crushing his manly pride with:

"Shut up, Sabrina!

These words today I do hate!
Surely he has called me by awful mistake!

Who am I fooling?... I don't have what it takes..."
he finishes dejectedly again walking away

but not before Sabrina saw profound pain etched in place of his usual pleasant grace.

She sat on her hands to keep from reaching out.
Her fingers along his spine to present worthlessness erase.

Then Wayne stops.

Turns back.
His expression totally refined!

"Sabrina!"
He dashes back.
Before her falls to the ground.

Grabs her to him
crushing her wonderfully sublime.

"Marry me, Sabrina!... Please, say you will!
Say that you'll always be mine!"... TO BE CONT'D 10/16/17
