Sabrina rose with her nose a touch cold
though she'd been buried under a thick worn quilted comforter
long ago lovingly sown from Asian and American family members' garments outgrown
worn and torn
then stitched and reborn
to keep growing childish bones from becoming froze.

Slipping her toes into terry loafers
donning her flannel robe she approached her closet
posed to broach which outfit would do
to garner favor with a youthful public in addition to Wayne's view too.

Especially after reading today's text
before crawling back into bed to reflect
as a full moon filled her room with light
and scriptures gave her young life wisdom and insight:

"I rejoiced before him all the time." Prov. 8:30.

God and Christ's strong loving bond
whirling like star dust into tight crevices of Sabrina's mind becoming more open
divinely refined.

She mediated upon:
Jesus joyfully worked alongside his Father, rejoicing both in what he accomplished and in the knowledge that Jehovah was fond of him.

What, though, about us?

Jesus said that there is happiness
both in giving and in receiving. Acts 20:35

It brought us joy to receive the truth,
and it brings us joy to share the truth with others.
As we share Bible truths with others,
we see spiritually hungry ones filled with delight
as they begin to understand and appreciate our God
and the precious truths contained in his Word.

It touches our heart to see them make changes not just in their thinking but also in their way of life.

We realize that the work of sharing the good news is vitally important. It opens the way to everlasting life for those who become reconciled to God. 2 Cor. 5:20

What more joyful, satisfying work could we engage in than that of helping people chart a course that will result in their living forever?w16.01 5:6, 7

This Sabrina has made her constant endeavor.

So she stands with beige cable sweater and flared soft brown wool skirt in hand. Thinking, in this instance, granny boots may be too casual

garnish undeserved attention away from a message cart displaying biblical answers to spiraling questions rising
in daily anxious demand.

Decided heeled brown plain leather with her matching leather
would be comfortably cool enough to a young and fashionable campus clan.

For although advised regarding actions:
"Likewise, let your light shine before men,
so that they may see your fine works and give glory to your Father who is in the heavens." Matthew 5:16
Sabrina knew excessive, sloven or unkempt appearance
could prove to be
an unfavorable distraction.

Also questioned: "Who is wise and understanding among you?

Let him by his fine conduct demonstrate works performed with a mildness that comes from wisdom." James 3:13

As a young person, Sabrina recognized the difficulty of this without guidance from someone lovingly subdued.
Her father was a fine teacher through and through.

This she discussed with Wayne
over mushroom burgers and a refreshing mountain dew
later that afternoon.

"Wayne, I've been thinking a lot about my dad lately," Sabrina said.

"Me too," he agreed before lowering his head to his plate
better to a dripping sandwich navigate.
Wiping his mouth so as not to spout his meal
Wayne begin to spill out his emotions against his will.

Sabrina tended to have this effect upon him.

"You know, Sabrina, I really loved your dad.

Thinking about him always makes me sad.
Although, in a lot of your actions you remind me him
and this makes me glad. Still,... I wish he were here.

I'd not always be so angry... Always so mad."

Wayne again dips his head to end his speech
as Sabrina battled inside not to him preach
but to find a way lovingly to beseech him.

To his heart
a deep dark well
she'd strain to reach him.

A bell on the cafe door clanged
and entered a security campus guard.

Wayne slowly angled his chair to further with me share
further conversation formerly detained by this man's presence
making Wayne antsy thus raising my hair.

He whispered so softly I could not hear.
Bending my ear nearer to be clear of what he said:
"I hate them!" his words turning my cheeks red.

"Don't say that!" I cried. "Remember Titus 3:1 says I heatedly whisper:

"Continue reminding them to be in subjection and to be obedient to governments and authorities, to be ready for every good work"?

"For those rulers are an object of fear,
not to the good deed, but to the bad.

Do you want to be free of fear of the authority? Wayne?

Keep doing good, and you will have praise from it; for it is God’s minister to you for your good.

But if you are doing what is bad,
be in fear,

for it is not without purpose that it bears the sword.

It is God’s minister,

an avenger to express wrath* against the one practicing what is bad." Romans 13:3, 4. I angrily reiterated to one of whom I hold dear.

"Sabrina, that memory of yours is just like your father," he squeezed between clenched teeth.

"And at this moment it's really a bother!" Wayne pushed back his seat after he hisses. For distance. To breach.

But I grab his arm in jacket, pleadingly insist: "Sit back down, Wayne. Your regular company I really do miss."

It seems he does too
for instantly he sits as she asked him
although in his face she saw that he still brewed.

Her telephone then pings:

Another 14 fraternity members get probation for hazing death in Pennsylvania Sabrina read
bringing back to mind an old story new that still wrings tears from her eyes

especially unnecessary deaths in fun and jest ignorantly comprised:

"36 former members of Pi Delta Psi, an Asian-American cultural fraternity at Baruch College in Manhattan, were charged in the death of Chun “Michael” Deng, 18. He died from head injuries suffered during a fraternity hazing initiation on Dec. 8, 2013 at a rented home in the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania."

Sadly inwardly repeating: He died from injuries to his head.
Worried even more about Wayne.
Now each day because of Wayne's attitude
Sabrina living in anxiety and dread.

Is this the way my life will be led?... Where is the joy of loving commitment and companionship ahead?

"What is that you're reading" Wayne asks.

Her hand closes down her phone
with her face a complete mask.
Not wanting another debate about associates right now
putting their improving mood to further task.

"However, let none of you suffer as a murderer or a thief
or a wrongdoer

or a busybody in other people’s matters." 1 Peter 4:15. She offered slyly instead... TO BE CONT'D
