The Apocalypse--A Revelation ... Chapter Twenty-Six (first draft)

Sabrina
surprised at the hours' lateness
immerged from beneath her down comforter
to a brilliant sunrise beaming into her room

brighter in beauty
than can be produced
by strung electric cables.

Pinged her phone
she retrieved from her bedside table
in curiosity's hastiness.

Glanced at a headline:
Here's the Best Place to Survive if There's a Nuclear Apocalypse*
highlighting it's best

her selected conversation
with Wayne

to promptly disable.

To divest until another time
with him alone.

Since, during the worst period in history
he's consuming her mind consistently
when all servants of Jah are assigned
an important responsibility

to spread 'Good News' of God's Kingdom
from Christ decreed

as Eccl. 1:4 describes regarding our land
marvelously able:

"A generation is going, and a generation is coming,
But the earth remains forever." To solidly stand.

For centuries ago
stated in Psalm 104:5:

"He has established the earth on its foundations;
It will not be moved from its place
forever and ever." Despite mankind's deforestation.

Despite their wicked greed.

Foretold, God will: "Bring to ruin those ruining the earth.” Rev. 11:18
"As he brings vengeance on those who do not know God and those who do not obey the good news about our Lord Jesus." 2 Thessalonians 1:8.

Yes, future bliss to those blessed,

"For evil men will be done away with,
But those hoping in Jehovah
will possess the earth.

Just a little while longer,
and the wicked will be no more;

You will look at where they were,
And they will not be there.

But the meek will possess the earth,

And they will find exquisite delight
in the abundance of peace." Ps. 37:9-11

"For this is what Jehovah says,
The Creator of the heavens,

the true God,
The One who formed the earth,

its Maker who firmly established it,

Who did not create it simply for nothing,
but formed it to be inhabited:

“I am Jehovah, and there is no one else.

I did not speak in a concealed place,
in a land of darkness; I did not say to the offspring
of Jacob,

‘Seek me simply for nothing.’

I am Jehovah,
who speaks what is righteous
and declares what is upright.

Gather together
and come.

Approach together,
you escapees from the nations.

They know nothing,
those who carry around carved images
And pray to a god that cannot save them.

Make your report,
present your case.

Let them consult together in unity.

Who foretold this long ago
And declared it from times past?

Is it not I, Jehovah?

There is no other God but me;
A righteous God and a Savior,

there is none besides me.

Turn to me and be saved,
all the ends of the earth,

For I am God,
and there is no one else." Isaiah 45:18-22.

Sabrina was one of a multitude
desiring to help spiritually blind eyes
to in faith see

this earth as a place of pride
for obedient mankind to everlastingly abide

under the 'Prince of Peace'
Jesus Christ

delivering soon
true 'Peace and Security'.

Another headline she also read:
A Mangled School Bus, Bodies Everywhere; ‘It Was Surreal’^

Felt a stronger necessity
to help any grieving or confused ones
to eventually heal from these daily sorrows

with these glorious words promised in Isaiah 65:17:

"For look! I am creating new heavens and a new earth;

And the former things will not be called to mind,
Nor will they come up into the heart."

Especially when soon to be targeted
all religion as sad cause

for these escalating tragedies
from the start

when an alternative false religion
initiated by Satan in the garden of Eden
a majority of mankind did sadly heed

as Jesus said of false religious Pharisees:

"You are from your father the Devil,
and you wish to do the desires of your father.

That one was a murderer when he began,

and he did not stand fast in the truth,
because truth is not in him.

When he speaks the lie,
he speaks according to his own disposition,

because he is a liar and the father of the lie." John 8:44

Sabrina showered and hastily dressed
wearing a lightweight rust wool skirt suit
and deep brown boots

worn to instill confidence
in a comforting message biblically stressed
to doubts uproot

regarding mankind's future.

Then she sped off to English Lit
to recite a poem earlier written
to hopefully enlighten worried minds

reveal words
God prophesied to be unveiled
heard in an up-and-coming day

unhidden:

“As for you, Daniel, keep the words secret, and seal up the book until the time of the end. Many will rove about, and the true knowledge will become abundant.” Daniel 12:4

Sabrina
on a stage vacated by her teacher took
before her peers inwardly shook.

Decided to mention earlier news
as a link to what her audience would soon hear.

Held tight to her page
she began to speak deliberate
to these dear ones sometimes misguided by media:

"At this moment may we reflect
upon actions atrocious yesterday

where bicyclists, joggers,
parents and children were affected

death to some
injured others

while around our world
through social media we jointly pray

for many in horror connect and cry
as a terrorist, who in false loyalty tried
to instill fear.

Real security
they cause a growing number to deny.

So composed, did I, this poem:
Who Will Silence Our Cries?

based upon biblical truths.

These violent acts
God's word do decry.

No longer honest-hearted ones
to continue abused.

Daily

"All creation keeps on groaning."
Jointly adorning
black veils of mourning.

Brotherly we cower
Seek shelter from showers

of suicides;
pestilence,
natural disasters
and violence

Spreading

The world over
like creeping vine
strangling our children,
our parents
and thus weakening us
zapping our powers.

Are drugs and alcohol the answer
to dull the nausea of this cancer?

No...Awaken we must
And learn who to trust

To yank us from the fire of consuming anger--

A danger
threatening both
friends and strangers.

But who can numb our pain?
And who can diminish the shame--

Since each of us is somewhat accountable?

Who will extinguish the flame
and totally exonerate our blame

Take away the notion "unlovable"?

Who will silence our cries
Stop the tragic "good-byes"
of adversities stripping us dry?

Well...why not raise our hearts to the sky?

Ask Our Creator the big questions of "why".

His distance is not far
since His children we are.

So He won't
our answers deny.

He's sincerely a Father that cares.

Speak our minds; He'll answer our prayers.

And thus by reading his word
And his Principles observe

This "God of all comfort" teaches us not to fear.

His voice can speak loud and clear:

"This is the way. Walk in it" He'll say.

Then soon He'll wipe
completely away

the reasons for all of our tears.

This is how we cope
during our turbulent years.

Sabrina raised her eyes to applause
sweet. Though, telling herself to stay grounded.

For in an instant reactions can change
in the blink of a tweet

someone insulted
refuses to delete accusations unfounded

as happened to Christ in Luke 4:28, 29:

"Now all those hearing these things
in the synagogue

became filled with anger,

and they rose up
and rushed him outside the city,

and they led him to the brow of the mountain
on which their city had been built,

in order to throw him down headlong.

But he went right through their midst
and continued on his way."

This Sabrina recalled to try and humble stay

as Wayne listened intently
from the rear of the class.

Determined,
as far as beliefs are concerned

to in the campus shadows
mutely stay... TO BE CONT'D
