'Nor Pain Be Anymore'

'Nor Pain Be Anymore' (1st draft)

" And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” Rev. 21:4.

A new appreciation I have for the fulfilment of this promise... "Nor pain be anymore".

My trusted laptop computer
sent me fleeing to emergency's door.

I plugged it in as usual
as I've done countless times before
my second attempt after flipping a wall switch
had me buckling to the floor.

A pain excruciating rose up my side.
Yet, I managed to gently place the laptop aside

while figuring out what to do.

Emergency was on my mind
so to it in my car I flew. Until retching overtook me
ejecting more liquid than food I spewed.

Again and again, even after paramedics arrived
tending to me on a highway
thankfulness I knew.

So when promised "pain will be no more"
this physical agony along with mental pain
eliminated forevermore

Is such a blessed relief!

What many endure daily in the form of pain
my utmost respect for your endurance has to the height of a glorious mountain grown/
grew.

So if you too are suffering
with pain mental and/or physical too

Let your faith in the soon fulfilment of again this promise your strength renew:

With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say:

“Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them.

And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. 

The former things have passed away.” Rev. 21:3, 4.
