Keep Apace

A shaking of the nations is now taking place!
Precious pearls eagerly rolling
into eternity's life's race.

Yet, sidelining distractions persist
to prevent our keeping apace.

So, lace up your footgear tightly
so as not to trip up without rising

then ball up, tearing unsightly
becoming utterly disgraced.

A roaring lion has already predicted our end.

So we study nightly
our integrity daily to defend.

Forget pretending this system
will eternally 'as is' spin
though ruin is quite likely
if left in hands
of imperfect men.

But promised a 'new heavens'
and a glorious 'new earth'. 2 Pet. 3:13.

Guided by a Lamb resurrected
after death
as a human birthed.

This Archangel powerful has taken his throne
while an archenemy roars
never leaving humans alone.

However, we're not left to fight
wicked demons on our own.

Protected if we adorn ourselves
in spiritual armor purchased.
Not fitted correctly,
if obtained only on loan.

"God is faithful,
and he will not let you be tempted
beyond what you can bear".

In his loyal love
in your adversities he
in loyalty shares.

And "along with the temptation
he will also make the way out

so that you may be able to endure it." 1 Cor. 10:13.
In certainty. Never to doubt.

Therefore, "oppose the Devil, and he will flee from you.
Draw close to God, and he will draw close to you" too.

"Subject yourselves to God".
For "he gives undeserved kindness
to the humble ones.” James 4:6, 7.

This including more than a righteous few

who desire to gain the prize
after finishing the course

of doing all that God wants
His faithful servants in joy and love

To always endeavor to do.
