Contest: A Strong Foundation

Contest 'A Strong Foundation'

A house of faith,
in heart home,

constructed on solid ground

must be "rooted and built up in him,"
Christ Jesus
in gratitude found.

Stabilized,
as initially taught,
by wisdom, panned for as gold

sought.

A purchase made,
a precious pearl,

with earnest effort,
eventually bought. Col. 2:6, 7.

Emotions motivated to sprout out in joy
as one retains this treasure

never to be sold.

Yes, out grateful lips
will we Jah and Jesus praise.

"For with the heart one exercises faith for righteousness, but with the mouth one makes public declaration for salvation." Romans 10:10.

Our daily goal set:
Forever and always.

Because, "just as the body without spirit is dead,
so also faith without works is dead." James 2:26.

Therefore, to keep our home stable and safe in a storm
maintenance of heart and head is a must

an 'anchor sure' is in God we trust; to forge straight ahead;

plus, "let us consider one another so as to incite
to love and fine works". Heb. 10:24.

Not in enmities to bicker and fight.

For Christ did in truth say:

“Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of the heavens,

but only the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will." Matt. 7:21.

So we must in loyalty stay focused
on our purpose.

"Whatever you are doing, work at it whole-souled as for Jehovah, and not for men". Col. 3:23.

Although.
admonished: "Tell them to work at good,
to be rich in fine works,
to be generous, ready to share". 1 Tim 6:18.

Then your foundation will prove strong
when vicious storms do come and pound
yes, pound
one's wall of faith.

Which, because of works in constancy added,
will eternally stand sound
with integrity intact

in eternal grace

even as now
we face daily attacks.

So as Paul to the Philippians did exhort:

"Consequently, my beloved ones,
just as you have always obeyed,... keep working out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

For God is the one
who for the sake of his good pleasure
energizes you,

giving you both the desire
and the power to act." Philippians 2:12, 13.
