The Apocalypse--A Revelation ... Chapter Twenty (first draft)

With hazy rays of golden sun
highlighting his tall frame
and leaves blissfully playing chase
lovely their seasonal game
falling gracefully
blown between she and him
as a warmth from his love
mixed with this wonderful breeze
still did not her reassure
of life with him
pictured stress-less
in matrimony
peacefully blessed.
Forever she to him please.
Sabrina found it hard
to see Wayne's face slightly shamed.
"Sabrina, what's the matter.
Did you hear what I asked?
I thought you wanted to marry me.
Is it such a horrible task?"
Sabrina reached out
"Wayne could you give me your hand?
It's difficult for me to you see unless I too stand."
Wayne lifts Sabrina
to gaze into his face.
"Do you know how much I love you?"
she asked
erasing doubt
from him gratitude
as in her heart he held a special space.
"I will marry you..." her words cut off
by a squeeze crushing away all speaking breath
he Sabrina swings in the breeze
as if a feather he carried her with ease
off her feet swept.
"You had me worried.
My hope almost you broke."
His words tearing her eyes
her throat tightening to choke
for a condition she'd add
when able to speak
remembering her father's words
often he spoke:
"And someone may overpower one alone,
but two together can take a stand against him.
And a threefold cord cannot quickly
be torn apart." Eccl. 4:12. He quoted often
before his heartbreaking stroke.
He and her mother
though 'unevenly yoked'
loved one another for years
but often he of their hardships wrote
to journalize life for Sabrina
his daughter whom he adored
and would to everyone dote.
Now here she stood
with a young man pleased
to promise her happiness
when from him it did not ooze
unless lately tipsy or desiring booze.
She'd not definitely stated him to now choose.
However,
how can she insert an 'if' now
without killing the specialty of his proposal
lost forever
if given conditions
before a wedding
in angered embarrassment
his patience he would lose.
So off they strolled
hand-in-hand
with Sabrina pensive
about how to spout doubt
regarding their future marital plans... TO BE CONT'D
