Darkening Skies

To Dear Young Ones:

Hatred blinds
minds not to see
beauty invested in humanity.

Hatred closes opening doors
to hearts honest
stored in mortal cores.

Hatred believes
in spreading evil seeds
misinterprets motives to horrors proceed.

Do we let hearts bleeding lead?

Or allow searching enlightened brains
to love surrender

in humanitarian deeds?

When stirred emotions to agitate
how will we in certainty participate
in unity of brotherhood

since close confined
our neighborhoods?

Should not we pause
to due reflect
an answer honest
to detect

why violence first
do many heed

when love is what
we should protect?

If encouraged to scale a wall
with bullets, swords to conquer all
should not our company we suspect
means us not well

so exit them to circumvent
a disastrous end

in escalating
horrific events

since
when dead and gone
no glory's shown

in human ruins

which elevate
this important fact:

that one you were
to perpetuate

in annihilation
of another
being

animalistic

and demonic
hate

which constitutes
'ungodly acts'.
