'All the World's a Stage'
'All the World's a Stage' (contest:Kaleidoscope)
Thought
torn curtains need never close
with actors of every nation composed
masked or known
fifteen minutes in adornment worn
on a stage
screening centuries
a star is born
aged
and another born
again
and again
yet the audience stays
same
briefly awed, bored, dazed
as this constant stream
never ends this ongoing dream
turned nightmare
though a kaleidoscope of faces try
across the international skies
to silence perceived babies cries
silent screams of the innocent
first time seeing . . .
yet, the end result
in theatrical hands?
the theatre closes
the rats get fatter
as the city rapidly
continues
to die . . .
Is the end of this story a tragedy?
