'For A Certainty' . . . What Do YOU . . . Know?

For A Certainty:

"The woman said to him: “I know that Mes·siʹah is coming, who is called Christ. Whenever that one comes, he will declare all things to us openly.”

Jesus said to her: “I am he, the one speaking to you.” John 4:25, 26.

“We no longer believe just because of what you said; for we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the savior of the world.” John 4:42.

"Jesus saw Na·thanʹa·el coming toward him and said about him: “See, an Israelite for a certainty, in whom there is no deceit.” John 1:47.

"At this Peter began to speak, and he said: “Now I truly understand that God is not partial, but in every nation the man who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him." Acts 10:34, 35.

"For he well knows how we are formed,
Remembering that we are dust.

As for mortal man, his days are like those of grass;
He blooms like a blossom of the field.
But when a wind blows, it is no more,
As though it was never there.

But the loyal love of Jehovah is for all eternity
Toward those who fear him,

And his righteousness toward their children’s children,

Toward those who keep his covenant
And those who are careful to observe his orders.

Jehovah has firmly established his throne in the heavens;
And his kingship rules over everything.

Praise Jehovah, all you his angels, mighty in power,
Who carry out his word, obeying his voice.

Praise Jehovah, all his armies,
His ministers who do his will.

Praise Jehovah, all his works,
In all the places where he rules.

Let my whole being praise Jehovah." Ps. 103:14-22.

"Because he was a prophet and knew that God had sworn to him with an oath that he would seat one of his offspring on his throne,

he foresaw and spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that neither was he forsaken in the Grave* nor did his flesh see corruption.

God resurrected this Jesus, and of this we are all witnesses.

Therefore, because he was exalted to the right hand of God and received the promised holy spirit from the Father, he has poured out what you see and hear.

For David did not ascend to the heavens, but he himself says, ‘Jehovah said to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand

until I place your enemies as a stool for your feet.”’

Therefore, let all the house of Israel know for a certainty that God made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you executed on a stake.” Act. 2:30-36.

"So listen to me, you men of understanding:
It is unthinkable for the true God to act wickedly,

For the Almighty to do wrong!

For he will reward a man according to what he does
And bring upon him the consequences of his ways.

For a certainty, God does not act wickedly;
The Almighty does not pervert justice." Job 34: 10-12.

"So if you have understanding, pay attention to this;
Listen carefully to what I say.

Should someone who hates justice be in control,

Or would you condemn a powerful one who is righteous?

Would you say to a king, ‘You are good for nothing,’
Or to nobles, ‘You are wicked’?

There is One who does not show partiality to princes
And who does not favor the rich over the poor,
For they are all the work of his hands.

They may die suddenly, in the middle of the night;
They shake violently and pass away;

Even the powerful are removed, but not by human hands.
For God’s eyes are upon the ways of a man,
And He sees all his steps.

There is no darkness or deep shadow
Where wrongdoers can conceal themselves.

For God has not set an appointed time for any man
To appear before him in judgment.

He breaks the powerful without needing to investigate
And sets up others in their place.
For he knows what they are doing;

He overthrows them during the night, and they are crushed.

He strikes them for their wickedness,
In a place where all can see,
Because they have turned away from following him
And have no regard for any of his ways;

They cause the poor to cry out to him,
So that he hears the outcry of the helpless.

When God remains silent, who can condemn him?
When he hides his face, who can see him?

Whether toward a nation or a man, the result is the same,

So that a godless person may not rule
Or lay snares for the people.

For will anyone say to God,
‘I have been punished, although I have committed no offense". Job 34:16-31.

"I resolved also, because I have traced all things from the start with accuracy, to write them to you in logical order, most excellent The·ophʹi·lus, so that you may know fully the certainty of the things that you have been taught orally." Luke 1:3, 4.

"And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous." Acts. 24:15.

"Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment." John 5:28, 29.

"But that the dead are raised up, even Moses made known in the account about the thornbush, when he calls Jehovah ‘the God of Abraham and God of Isaac and God of Jacob.’ He is a God, not of the dead, but of the living, for they are all living to him.” Luke 20:37, 38.
