If Sabrina and Mr. Kang had awakened in time
they would've seen Wayne's tears showing activity in mind.

Instead, they slept on in weariness
drained their hearts and heads
as Wayne's continued thinking ability
began beating him discouraged,

where just recently his love for Sabrina
his hopefulness fed
like cooing doves from heaven
leading his thoughts
to a glorious joined future
them in promise just ahead.

He remembered he'd committed to:
"Trust in Jehovah and do what is good;
reside in the earth, and act with faithfulness. Ps. 37:3.

For years Sabrina and her father helped him with this,
his dedication.

Their loving support managed to pull him
comfortably through.

But after both sudden deaths of Sabrina's father,
then his mother curling him into bereft

and knowing that Sabrina
would soon leave him too

Wayne acted out of character
with associates destined to relieve him of morals
once him in honest sincerity
seriously embued

although, finally gaining fatherly admiration
Mr. Wayne felt long overdue
in regards to being a manly son

Worldlywise;
not by commandments hampered
thus, an aggressive spirit dampened.

By Theocracy subdued.

Now Wayne vividly recalls
Proverbs Chapter 2:

"When wisdom enters your heart
And knowledge becomes pleasant to your soul,
Thinking ability will keep watch over you,
And discernment will safeguard you,
To save you from the bad course,
From the man speaking perverse things,
From those leaving the upright paths
To walk in the ways of darkness,
From those who rejoice in wrongdoing,
Who find joy in the perverseness of evil,

Those whose paths are crooked
And whose entire course is devious.

It will save you from the wayward woman,
From the smooth words of the immoral woman," verses 10-16.

Wayne wished he had unearthed these words
maybe back two months ago,
when proclaimed by peers,
a young man 'hot' and 'oh, so cool!'

Letting their praise over his knowledge rule.

If only him'd worked along with Sabrina in her ministry to do:
Make people aware of what current events meant
for the earth and obedient ones who:

"do not forget to do good and to share what you have with others, for God is well-pleased with such sacrifices." Heb. 13:16.

"So follow the way of good people
And stay on the paths of the righteous,
For only the upright will reside in the earth,
And the blameless will remain in it.
As for the wicked, they will be cut off from the earth,
And the treacherous will be torn away from it." Prov. 2:20-22.

Then he'd not be laying here paralyzed
in payment for wrong desires eagerly pursued.
While his conscience accuses, not able to excuse
as Romans 2:15 mentions even the nations, ungodly,
are able to do.

"They are the very ones who demonstrate the matter of the law to be written in their hearts, while their conscience is bearing witness with them, and by their own thoughts they are being accused or even excused."

He foolishly permitted others his life to lead
although:

"Like a partridge that gathers what it has not laid,
So is the one who acquires riches dishonestly.

They will leave him in midlife,
And in the end he will prove senseless.” Jeremiah 17:11.

These words his new associates
did not know or feel the need to heed.

Included in Wayne's admonition:

"But those who are determined to be rich fall into temptation and a snare and many senseless and harmful desires that plunge men into destruction and ruin." 1 Timothy 6:9.

So here lies Wayne
tragically saddened by his own admission
of the truthfulness of God's word

shown by his present
immobile

hopefully, temporary,
condition.

Will he again be able
to stroll with his lovely Sabrina

wherever both their hearts
once thoroughly discussed
would lead them

or where they in harmony would
decidedly choose?

Or will he let discouragement stifle him forever
his life to then lose? . . . TO BE CONT'D
