Sabrina and Kim sit at the high kitchen table,
before their weekday meeting
chop broccoli, onion, carrots,
keeping dried hot chilies whole,
for ^Vietnamese Stir-Fried Vegetables With Chicken and/or Shrimp while chatting about Wayne's father's attitude cold
regarding Sabrina and Wayne's relationship
not further proceeding.
What Sabrina felt in his home
shook her emotions
his reasoning her to comb.
Sabrina thinking herself in danger
if not left, she, Wayne alone.
It could not be her skin tone,... could it?
when Wayne's mother photo showed Sabrina
a beautiful woman dark-skinned and finely boned.
Kim suggesting: "It could be our biblical beliefs supposedly corrupting Wayne. Preventing Wayne from climbing his father's preset steps. Wayne veering into an area swept of economical prowess.
I can understand... I felt that way for you. Give him time to see
that you mean the best for you and he."
Economic goals second to theocratic endeavors. God first biblically decreed.
Sabrina hoped Kim's thoughts to be true.
Reasoning about their study tonight
and how the subject of God's Kingdom
Wayne's father could haughtily misconstrue.
What would he think knowing that we preach
that since 1914, our King Jesus has been ruling from heaven
in the midst of his father's enemies,
biblically proven we teach?
That God's Kingdom of Matt. 6:10 will more amazing things do
in the near future our earth to renew.
It will “come” to “crush and put an end” to its enemies:
“In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed. And this kingdom will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it alone will stand forever". Dan. 2:44.
Thoroughly dispensing to unjust ones 'just due'.
But before that time arrives,
other significant events will take place
"before a great crowd,
which no man was able to number,
out of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues"
survives. Rev. 7:9.
What would Wayne's father think about Paul's mentioning “Jehovah’s day,” to begin with the attack on “Babylon the Great” of whom Revelation 17:5 said:
"On her forehead was written a name,
a mystery:
“Babylon the Great, the mother of the prostitutes and of the disgusting things of the earth”?
This prostitute will think of herself as a “queen”
who will “never see mourning.” She to everlastingly preen.
But she will suddenly discover that her confidence is misplaced. She will be removed quickly, as if “in one day.” Totally erased. Rev. 18:7, 8.
As a flash of lightning closely followed by a thunder's crash,
so the time of saying “Peace and security!” will be instantly followed by “sudden destruction.”
Jesus to God's enemies totally to pulverize;
justly to thrash.
Blown away like chaff on the wind.
Forever to disperse. No more wickedness to spin.
What's to be destroyed?
First,
“Babylon the Great,”
the world empire of false religion,
also “the prostitute” known. Rev. 17:5, 6, 15
This destruction of Christendom
plus all other false religious organizations shown
to form the opening phase of the “great tribulation” Matt. 24:21; 2 Thess. 2:8 before a new day worldwide dawns.
1 Thess. 5:2, 3 stating: "For you yourselves know very well that Jehovah’s day is coming exactly as a thief in the night.
Whenever it is that they are saying, “Peace and security!”
then sudden destruction is to be instantly on them,
just like birth pains on a pregnant woman,
and they will by no means escape."
Does this expression refer to one pronouncement
or to a series of notable statements
or will religious leaders be involved?
Since they are part of the world,
will they possibly join the nations in saying,
“There is peace!”?
soon to be resolved. er. 6:14; 23:16, 17; Rev. 17:1, 2
This proclaiming of peace and security to signal Jehovah's day is about to begin. Enemies of God’s Kingdom “will by no means escape.” Eternal death their untimely end.
Who or what will carry out this deadly attack
against “Babylon the Great” who did not have its parishioners back?
Rev. 17:3, 5, 11, 12 describing: A “wild beast” with “ten horns” indicating that this wild beast refers to the United Nations (UN).
What would Wayne's father feel knowing Wayne believed
the ten horns represent all present political powers that support this “scarlet-colored wild beast”?
The nations of the UN will plunder the prostitute’s wealth,
devour her, and “completely burn her.” Revelation 17:16 prophecied:
"And the ten horns that you saw
and the wild beast,
these will hate the prostitute
and will make her devastated and naked,
and they will eat up her flesh
and completely burn her with fire."
Requiring in the near future
true Christians to act courageously
and with kingdom pride
as did Rahab when she saw and heard
about Israel's victories carrying out God's word.
When to her home in Jericho came
these Israelite spies
she did not give in to fear.
Turn them away despised.
Yet with confidence in Jehovah
in faith comprised,
she courageously hid them
helped them safely to escape. Josh. 2:4, 5, 9, 12-16
Since Rahab accepted Jehovah as the true God,
trusted that somehow he would give
his people the Israelites
this beautiful land to take
after their vast sins he did lovingly forgive.
She did not let fear of others,
including the king of Jericho and his men,
paralyze her.
Rather, she bravely acted
in a way that in the end
preserved her and her family.
Survival not delayed.
Not in indifference protracted.
Josh. 6:22, 23.
Her sterling example to us given
as Proverbs 27:11 is also
a fatherly admonition;
a wise counsel and provision:
"Be wise, my son,
and make my heart rejoice,
So that I can make a reply
to him who taunts me."
This enemy spirit holding faithful servants
in powerful derision.
But, "God is the one
who for the sake of his good pleasure
energizes you,
giving you both the desire
and the power to act." Philippians 2:13
Despite Satan's subtle or frontal attacks.
Although, Wayne's father may of us think:
"They want to be teachers of law,
but they do not understand either the things they are saying
or the things they insist on so strongly." 1 Timothy 1:7
However, certain ones
have deviated from love and hypocritical faith;
still wanting to be teachers of law
but lacking understanding of its intent.
These may in falsehood relate.
But, for many who study and regularly meditate
a verse worthy we must not forget.
In prayer not hesitate:
"For all things I have the strength through the one who gives me power." Philippians 4:13
This Sabrina cannot wait to Wayne encourage.
In earnestness to converse
so that he'll not with his father
in wastefulness debate.
Sabrina again listening to Kim's portuguese
in her mind to English translate:
"You'll see, querida... You will faithfully succeed."
Though, Sabrina in all truthfulness
remembered these words in Matthew 10:16-22 to heed :
“Look! I am sending you out as sheep among wolves; so prove yourselves cautious as serpents and yet innocent as doves.
Be on your guard against men, for they will hand you over to local courts and they will scourge you in their synagogues.
And you will be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a witness to them and the nations.
However,
when they hand you over,
do not become anxious about how or what you are to speak,
for what you are to speak will be given you in that hour;
for the ones speaking are not just you,
but it is the spirit of your Father that speaks by you.
Further, brother will hand brother over to death,
and a father his child,
and children will rise up against parents and will have them put to death.
And you will be hated by all people on account of my name,
but the one who has endured
