No Greater Love

'No Greater Love' (contest: The Greatest Sacrifice 1st draft)

Young and old shouted joyfully as Christ rode into Jerusalem upon a colt: “Save, we pray! Blessed is the one who comes in Jehovah’s name!" Mark 11:9. On the road before him placing outer garments and leaves paving his way. Hands cutting down branches swiftly, in gratitude to sway.

Yes, humility, like his father's Christ did always display; although only acknowledged a 'king of the Jews' later by Pilate that selfsame day... For hovering in complete spiritual dense darkness, his wicked heavenly brothers, led by Satan propelled, a travesty against the Almighty--their brother to annihilate... Soon they would indeed gloat. For Jesus' life doomed to assail.

Not in at least kindness quickly smote. For a brief moment familial demons would be gleeful. Reveling in believed success, as the 'firstborn' 'only-begotten' Son, their brother, was wrongly and horribly impaled.

For death deemed, Jesus' body; destined for piercing agony. Although, as a 'blasphemer' against his precious father proclaimed, his lifeblood slowly drained; his heart ruptured after pleading not to die as such:

"Now I am troubled, and what should I say? Father, save me out of this hour. Nevertheless, this is why I have come to this hour." John 12:27. Great concern over terrible reproach that his death as one charged with blasphemy and sedition could bring on Jah almost too much:

"Then an angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him.

But he in such agony he kept praying earnestly more; and his sweat became as drops of blood falling to the ground--as is done in the condition hematidrosis maybe found, with extraordinary grief troubling a mind begging in implore.

Where excreting of perspiration tinged with pigment of blood, blood or blood mingling bodily fluids results in blood sweats.Luke 22:33, 34. His victory prophesied, though to his disciples untimely seemed.

Yes, with "Peter and the two sons of ZebĘše·dee" to delay with him while he prayed, Jesus stated: “I am deeply grieved, even to death. Stay here and keep on the watch with me.” The march to his demise already by Judas initiated.

And going a little way forward, he fell facedown, praying: “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from me. Yet, not as I will, but as you will.” Matt. 26:37-39

Known his eventuality. Understood. Not him to perplex. His spirit vexed; by his mission and his disciples sleepiness a bit aggravated:

“At such a time as this, you are sleeping and resting! Look! The hour has drawn near for the Son of man to be betrayed into the hands of sinners.

Get up, let us go. Look! My betrayer has drawn near.” Matt. 26:45.

To the glorious heavens, Christ actions were on display. 'Myriads' of angels for him did pray. To reply to Satan's taunts against the Almighty--A perfect man could prove faithful, even to the forced end of his human way:

"Be wise, my son, and make my heart rejoice, So that I can make a reply to him who taunts me." Prov. 27:11. For Jesus knew full well that eternal life, his and mankind's future, theirs, too depended upon his faithfulness. Keeping integrity even excruciatingly through a three-hour darkness, when the sun did all humankind fail.

For earlier: "raising his eyes to heaven, he said: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify your son so that your son may glorify you". His loving desire to always his Father's will do. John 17:1.

Then a voice came out of heaven: “I have glorified it and will glorify it again.” John 12:28.

Yes, before the treachery was completely done, Jesus, as he hung called out with a loud voice and said:

“Father, into your hands I entrust my spirit. After he said this, he expired.” Over Satan and his demons he did marvelously prevail. Luke 23:46.

Into his Father's hands' his life-force to retain for three days. Then again to heaven, victorious! A celebration called for because to the end Jesus magnified his Father's great name:

"Let Your Name Be Sanctified." Matt. 6:9.

Jehovah God in heaven raised him home with a name greater than any other in heaven or on this earth alone:

"Furthermore, there is no salvation in anyone else, for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must get saved.” Acts 4:12.

So, yes, Jehovah and Jesus to us made the greatest sacrifices: Christ's blood in ransom for all races of man, gave:

“For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life." John 3:16.
