Simon

Simon

Peter. A leader. So human: impulsive, self-assured, as a majority we, daily in our imperfect attempts at goodness. Correction and guidance, he showed us we divinely need. Since, as a warped wheel, we are, wobbling off-course, unintentional, into dark woods. Dangerous, if not redirected.

Prompt to respond to whatever Christ requested, although forceful in words and actions, as with a sword. Restraint he showed us, we best, in our endeavors, ought to wisely heed. Yes. Think. Not always to act in speed.

Yet, his heart, we too want to model as he did Christ. Faith he showed, although some water he did nastily swallow, after realizing accomplishments, not of his power. Following his lead in regards to endeavors spiritual, can march us onward to eternity proceed.

Especially if his 'seven' rule revamped by Jesus to 'seventy-seven' regarding forgiveness, we imitate. And his counsel taken to heart about hypocrisy, not love, shown to all brothers. For duplicity or two-faced demonstrates a fakeness, a mask. In turn, called hate.

Or cowardice, which Jah and Jesus also frown upon. For loyalty must persist, not only in visible presence. But, especially, during these 'Last Days' as 'disloyal' is a commonality as 'me-first' is not just a word. Peter's learned courage is what helps us be molded. Not, 'follow at a distance' Christ in personality. Directions unheard.

Too, Peter showed, 'cut to the heart'. But not out-of-the-race.
We have to pick up where we've fallen. Cry when we must. Lick or bandage our wounds. But, again start; to  Finish after keeping apace.
